The Strategic Investment Board Ltd is a transparent and open organisation and is committed to providing public access to the information it holds.

Finding Information

Information can be accessed by using the 'Search' facility on our website or by looking at the relevant pages under this ‘Available Information’ section of the website. However, if you cannot find the required information on our website you can make a request for information under the further provisions of the Freedom of Information or Environmental Information Regulations.

If you are requesting information we hold about you personally this would be dealt with under the Data Protection Act 1998. This would include anything limited to you as a person. Under the Data Protection Act we have 40 working days to provide the information you ask for.

Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Publication Scheme

In order to comply with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) public sector organisations have to proactively publish information whenever possible. This information should be listed under a ‘publication scheme’. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has introduced a new model publication scheme that all public sector organisations should adopt from 1 January 2009.

This publication scheme commits an authority to make information available (where it holds it) to the public as part of its normal business activities. The types of information covered are listed under seven ‘classes' of information. These are outlined in the Available Information page. More detail as to the information which should be provided under each class of information is provided in sector specific guidance manuals issued by the Information Commissioner. SIB has adopted the ICO's model publication scheme and the definition document for Northern Ireland Non-Departmental Public Bodies (PDF 54 KB). .

Information on the SIB website can be downloaded free of charge. For information that is not available through the website there will be no charge applied. It is SIB's policy that, where possible, information created and stored electronically will be provided electronically. Hard copy versions of information available through the website will not be provided routinely on request.
