Strategic Adviser
Mary McKee joined SIB in May 2008, as a Strategic Adviser, to work on a range of infrastructure projects including regeneration, education, stakeholder/social engagement processes and community planning.
Mary has worked in the Non-Government Organisation sector for twenty two years, fourteen of which have been at Director level within two voluntary sector organisations. She was Director of PlayBoard, a high profile agency at the forefront of pioneering services for children and young people and was the first Executive Director of Groundwork Northern Ireland, a leading environmental regeneration agency.
In June 2007 Mary was appointed by the Secretary of State to the Northern Ireland Policing Board, as an independent member. Mary has also worked on various projects with a number of large companies - bidding to work on major infrastructure projects including health, regeneration and criminal justice.
Mary was awarded an OBE the 2007 New Year Honours List for services to regeneration and community relations in Northern Ireland.
