Strategic Investment Board Limited (SIB) supports the public sector in the delivery of infrastructure projects. A small Asset Management Unit works with the Executive to implement their Asset Management Strategy. We also provide strategic advice to Ministers on the development and roll-out of the Executive’s infrastructure Investment Strategy (ISNI).

Depending on the requirement, SIB also provides expertise on project and programme management, procurement law, corporate finance and regulation, community regeneration, strategic marketing communications and strategic planning.

City of Culture 2013 - Artists practicing on City WallsDerry~Londonderry has made history by becoming the first ever UK City of Culture. The winning bid brought together the creative energy of both public and private sector agencies to build upon the outstanding physical, social and cultural achievements in the city with a focus on celebrating and debating the uniqueness of Northern Ireland. This is the start of a new chapter in the city’s journey from plantation to peace, and its legacy will last for generations.

Titanic Belfast Jan 2011 - Profile with reflectionThe Titanic Signature Project (TSP) involves the creation of a world class visitor attraction – bringing the story of the RMS Titanic home to Belfast, whilst celebrating NI’s shipbuilding and industrial heritage. The TSP is one of five signature projects in Northern Ireland which is firmly based on the Titanic and Maritime Belfast Heritage theme. DETI and the Titanic Foundation are fully engaged to deliver this project by 2012 to coincide with and commemorate the centenary of the ship’s maiden voyage and celebrate the legacy of Titanic.

BELB Schools Public Private Partnership Project Opens new window

Orangefield Primary SchoolAn innovative strategic partnership has been set up between Belfast Education Library Board (BELB) and AmeyFMP to create modern, sustainable schools that will not only serve the student body, but also meet the needs of the local community both during and after school hours. The partnership has successfully speeded up the delivery of over £300m investment in schools in Belfast, and has secured significant savings in time and cost for the BELB.
